LGLPAK takes you to analyze the difference between stretch film and cling film

Cling film is a kind of plastic packaging products, usually made by polymerization reaction with ethylene as a masterbatch.

Can be divided into three categories

The first is PE , It is mainly used for food packaging. This film is used for the fruits and vegetables we usually buy, including the semi-finished products purchased in the supermarket.

The second is PVC . This material can also be used for food packaging, but it has a certain impact on the safety of the human body;

The third is PVDC , which is mainly used for the packaging of cooked food, ham and other products.

Stretch film is produced by using imported linear polyethylene LLDPE resin and special tackifier additives.

1. Different uses

Cling film: a wide range of uses, including food packaging, fruit, vegetable, meat, and article packaging.

Stretch film:packaging, as well as protective packaging of goods during transportation, mainly to prevent items from being scattered or scratched

2. Different specifications

The thickness of the stretch film is thicker than the cling film, and the size is larger than the cling film.

Household plastic wrap is generally 30cm in width and 10um in thickness; industrial stretch film is generally 50cm in width and 20um in thickness.

3. Different stretch ratio

Stretch film is more stretchable than cling film. Stretch film is directly blown from LDPE through a blow molding machine, and its stretch ratio can reach 300%-500%. At the same time, the cling film is sticky to the article, while the stretch film is self-adhesive, which is related to the amount of polyisobutylene used.
